2019 Easter Trip to South Korea
Korean contrasts: change of scenery guaranteed
* Departures are scheduled for Friday, 19th of April 2019 for 6 days of group induction. Participants purchase their own airfare.
Make sure to be ready for 7 hour of time difference due to summer time.
Upon arrival at Incheon International Airport, a first information meeting will be held to make the stay in South Korea easier.
A welcome set with all the information will be distributed to travelers. Accommodation in Seoul will take place at the Y-House Hotel, a district of the traditional market of Nam Dae Mun.
During the stay in Seoul, visitors will be able to discover Korean gastronomy, traditional dances, the of South Korea's history, the foreigners' neighborhood (Ittaewon), the traditional market in Nam Dae Mun, as well as the modern shopping malls and the Sauna Dragon Hill: the most famous bath in all of South Korea.
The day will be devoted to visiting the Haeinsa Temple and night meditation. A tea ceremony will be held. The night at the temple will be short! Night in a dormitory.
The following day, we will tour the Yang Dong Village, a traditional village near the town of Gyeong-Ju. We will spend the night in a traditional luxury hotel (La Goung) with a magnificent garden that breathes calm and serenity. Each suite will have its own jacuzzi!
The last two days, we will stay in Busan, 2nd city of South Korea by the sea. The visit of the fish market is essential as well as the aquarium and the local sirens that are commonly called the Haenio (women in apnea jacket with an average age of 80 years!), unique in the world. Sushi and seafood tasting.
Possibility to extend stay in Korea for those who wish and under their own responsibility.
